Former President Donald Trump shocked everyone over the weekend when he took to his Truth Social platform to ask if he resembled the late singer Elvis Presley.

Trump compares himself to Elvis

The Daily Mail reported that Trump posted a photo showing his and Elvis’ faces merged together to form a single face.

“For so many years people have said that Elvis and I look alike,” Trump wrote. “Now this photo has gone around the world. What do you think?”

Social media users quickly responded to Trump’s post, which immediately went viral.

“Have you ever seen Trump and Elvis in the same place at the same time?” one user asked, while another added, “This is the kind of post I want to see from my president.”

“Elvis would vote Trump,” a third user wrote. A fourth person added: “As if Trump is president again.”

Others, however, took the opportunity to attack Trump.

“Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental health condition in which people have an unreasonably high sense of their own importance,” one person wrote.

“They need and seek too much attention and want people to admire them,” the user added. “People with this disorder may not have the ability to understand or care about the feelings of others,” the not-so-veiled comment continues. But behind this mask of extreme confidence, they are unsure of their self-worth and are easily upset at the slightest criticism.”

“Donald Trump clearly suffers from dementia,” said Democratic strategist Johnny Palmadessa. “He has forgotten over and over again that Barack Obama is not yet the president. He thinks Nikki Haley was Speaker of the House instead of Nancy Pelosi.

“He says he’s ‘winning’ the fraud trial in New York, but the trial is over,” he continued, even though the verdict in that case had not been released. “[Trump] he simply compared himself to Elvis because he believes they “look alike” – [he] must abandon the race. He needs to seek help.”

Trump previously compared himself to Elvis during an event in the late singer’s hometown of Tupelo, Mississippi.

“I shouldn’t say this, you’re going to say I’m very presumptuous, because I’m not,” Trump said. “But other than the blond hair, when I was little, they said I looked like Elvis.”

Last year, Trump compared himself to Leonardo Da Vici’s 16th-century masterpiece, The Mona Lisa.

“There are people who go to the Mona Lisa — they love the Mona Lisa and they will see it hundreds and hundreds of times and every time it gets better,” Trump said.

This comes as President Joe Biden is seeking to expose Trump’s alleged erratic behavior.

“I feel good about where we are, I really am,” Biden said during a speech in Delaware on Saturday, according to The Hill. “You know, people are starting to focus and the guy we’re racing against, he’s – he’s not for nothing, he’s against everything.”

“And no, I’m serious, it’s the strangest campaign I’ve ever been involved in, it’s even worse in terms of behavior than last time in 2020,” he added.
