Marjorie Taylor Greene wants lawmakers who vote for Ukraine to forcibly aid the Ukrainian military

Most conservative Republicans are dead set against the more than $60 billion in new aid to Ukraine that the GOP and Democratic establishment desperately want. Especially considering the billions America has already spent there.

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has a great idea: House members who insist on voting for this aid may as well go there and fight in the Ukrainian army.

Greene to members of the Pro-Ukraine Help Chamber: “Why don’t you go and fight”

Greene introduced an amendment to the proposed aid on Wednesday.

The bill would force members of Congress who vote to send more money to Ukraine to go there and fight the war themselves.

“Any member of Congress who votes in favor of this law will be required to enlist in the Ukrainian military,” the amendment reads.

Few expect Greene’s amendment to make it into the final bill – I bet her point still stands.

Greene and other Republicans have been staunch opponents of aid to Ukraine and are criticizing House Speaker Mike Johnson, who on Wednesday introduced the text of three aid bills for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan.

So much for America First.

Leave Johnson?

Greene even floated an idea to drop Johnson as president, something her Republican congressional colleague Thomas Massie also endorsed due to this insistence on sending even more taxpayer dollars overseas.

In the Senate, Rand Paul agrees with Massie and Greene on Johnson.

America last

America First is something conservatives either believe in or not. If Republican leadership is determined to send billions overseas instead of letting Americans pay less taxes or using them to solve problems in the United States, what’s the point of even having Republican leadership?

Joe Biden loves Mike Johnson’s plan.

The president said in a statement Wednesday: “I strongly support this package to secure critical support for Israel and Ukraine, provide desperately needed humanitarian aid to the Palestinians in Gaza, and strengthen security and stability in the Indo-Pacific. Israel is facing unprecedented attacks from Iran, and Ukraine is facing continued bombing from Russia, which has escalated dramatically over the past month.”

Marjorie Taylor Greene’s idea to have members of Congress fight might be the best idea in this whole debate.
