Donald Trump revealed a dangerous part of his agenda in Virginia, where he promised to strip federal funding from all schools that require vaccinations.
Trump said: “I will sign a new executive order to cut federal funding to any school that promotes critical race theory, transgender insanity, and other inappropriate racist, sexual, or political content about our children, and I will not give a dime to any school that he has a vaccine.” mandate.”

Trump did not mention COVID vaccination because the vast majority of public schools do not require COVID vaccinations. Donald Trump was talking about something much more dangerous. Trump talked about punishing schools that try to prevent epidemics of polio, measles, mumps, rubella, chickenpox, diphtheria, whooping cough and hepatitis.
In essence, Donald Trump promises to endanger children’s health to appeal to anti-vaxxer extremists. Trump doesn’t talk much about politics in his campaign speeches, but the policies he touches on are far-right. The campaign is early and most voters won’t start paying attention until Labor Day, but Donald Trump is holding nothing back about what a second term would look like.
Trump is willing to promise to endanger the health and well-being of children if that’s what it takes for him to get a few more votes.
